Welcome to our Website
We are Chris and Jenny Barber. We have cared for many dogs, both of our own and for many other people, for over 30 years.
Our business is named after Monty and Macey, two of our Golden Retrievers, who have now sadly passed away.
We offer Doggy Day Care and Home-Boarding. All dogs are cared for in our own home, without any kennels. We treat all visiting dogs as if they were our own.
We are Licenced with Staffordshire Moorlands (ABO002) and completely Insured.
Our garden is fully secure. All dogs are also walked twice a day without any extra charges.

Our pup is always so excited when they realise they're been taken to Chris and Jen's house. She also doesn't seem too keen to leave when we pick her up either! Chris/Jen are such lovely carers who I think love our pup almost as much as we do. Friendly, professional and reliable. I'd recommend to anyone.

Jenny and Chris are lovely people... You can see how much they love animals from the moment you meet them. Ruby always comes back happy and tired out. It's really good that she can socialise with the other dogs of all ages and sizes, as they frequently have other dogs boarding, plus day care. I highly recommend them.

Highly recommended. Our dog is extremely anxious when left alone, so we left her in the care of Chris for a weekend, Whilst attending a family wedding. She was beautifully cared for and clearly very much at home with the other furry house guests.

My dogs don't want to leave after staying at Monty and Macy's as they have such fun running around with their doggy friends. They are completely at home there and we get updates when we are on holiday which is always reassuring when we are away from them. They look after our dogs as if they were their own and the dogs come home very tired and very happy.

My dog had a great time staying with Chris and family, while we went oh holiday for weeks. He was well looked after, socialised and made lots of doggy friends, and was treated like one of the family. I will definitely be using Monty and Macey again,.

My biggest regret about Jen and Chris is not finding them sooner. Griff, my 15-year-old Border Terrier was anxious, aging and ailing but had the time of his life at Monty and Macy’s! I could go away knowing when I returned, I’d collect him happier and healthier than when I left him. Chris and Jen and the friendly pack of dogs in their home restored his appetite and enthusiasm for walking. Chris got him eating by trying different foods and even managed to get him off sedatives, which made him so much brighter. He sat on Jen’s lap and was one happy dog again. He passed away in June and I’m still heartbroken, but Chris and Jen helped me to give him a very contented old age and an extra few months of fulfilled life for him and me. I happily score them 10/10. Even with Chris’s jokes.

Chris and Jen's is like a home from home for our dog Isla. They look after herlike she's their own. She always comes back super tired from her adventures. She can be a little anxious going in sometimes, but Chris always takes the time to give her the one on one she loves. He has such a lot of experience with all sorts of dogs so he is great at reading their body language and responding. I never worry about her while she is with them because I know they will cater for whatever mood she's in. They have even sent us pictures of her while we were away and sent little updates too.

Chris and Jen have looked after both of our dogs since puppies. They are always so excited and happy to go, and come home exhausted after having the best doggy party. The care given when Lilly had a poorly foot was first rate. I never worry when we are away as I know they are botrh happy and well cared for.
